Charles Parker Davidson married Anna Broadwell and was a prominent resident and businessman of Scranton.
He began in the 1880's by building dwelling houses on lots on Gibson Street, bought the lumber of Peck Lumber Co.
Later joined the Peck Lumber Co. and formed the U.S. Lumber Co. which bought timber lands all over the
Southern States. C.P. Davidson bought and sold real estate all over the City of Scranton.

Frank R. Davidson 1856-1933 went into the lumber business with his brother

C.P. Davidson, located in timber lands in Cross Fork, Potter County, Pa. 1893 where he

took up with Belle Campbell 1873-1903, later married her in 1901 in

Buffalo, N.Y. and adopted her daughter Beatrice. She married a Mr. Thos. Ruddy,

later a Mr. Viola, divorced and now lives in Scranton. Frank and Belle

lived all over the South, following timber lands, he died in Florida.

Maurice [sic]Davidson 1858-1922 never married, was a civil engineer and surveyor, was a genial person but drank
heavily and liked strong cigars. He lived in Scranton, Philadelphia, New Orleans and died in Norfolk, Va.

George B. Davidson 1860-1939 was educated at Cornell University, practiced law and was an attorney in Scranton
and Philadelphia where he died. He never married, had a club foot and was not active in his last years.

Effie Davidson 1862-1948 never married, lived in Greenfield and at the family home 4511 Chester Ave. Philadelphia
where she kept house for all of the other members of the family who eventually landed there.

Mary Davidson 1872-1958 never married. "Mame" taught school many years in

FRANK R. DAVIDSON 1856-1933 born in Greenfield Township, educated at Madison Academy. He worked
for many years as manager for his brother Parker Davidsons lumber businesses. He worked as a manager in
Potter County, Pa. and later in Mississippi. He married Mrs. Belle Campbell of Renovo, Pa. l873-1903, and
adopted her daughter Beatrice born 1891. They resided in Scranton, Pa. where he was later Vice President of
Lackawanna Lumber Co. and died 1933.

Frank D. Ruddy - merchant seaman - California

MAURICE[sic] DAVIDSON 1858-1922 was born in Greenfield, was educated as a Civil engineer and
draftsman, lived in Scranton where he worked and finally retired to the family home in Philadelphia where he
died. He was never married. Worked as an Army Surveyor in New Orleans.

GEORGE B. DAVIDSON 1860-1939 was born in Greenfield, was educated and      Cornell
became a Lawyer. He practiced law at Scranton, Pa. He never married and
spent his last years at the Parker family home in Waverly where he died.

EFFIE AND MARY DAVIDSON never married. They were educated and worked as
schoolteachers in Philadelphia where they lived for many years.

Their brother John Marenus Davidson 1864 – 1880 died young age 16.
Edwin L. Davidson died in infancy in 1869 of whooping cough.

 

They were both educated at Wellesley College. Mary became a

schoolteacher while Mary Effie stayed home and kept house for the family.

 

Charlotte Parker Davidson [their mother] was a very social person, loved to talk, in fact never stopped talking,
had friends in Phila. and moved the family there to a Chestnut Street house in 1904.


Charles Parker Davidson was raised by his Grandmother Parker, was her
favorite grandchild, was educated at Cornell University, became
a very successful businessman in Scranton, Pa. and took care of
his own family and his parents and brothers and sisters as well.

Born 1856 in Greenfield Township, educated at Madison Academy, served as a manager for his father's lumber
interests in Western Pennsylvania for several years. There he met and married Mrs. Belle Campbell of and they
were the parents of one daughter Beatrice Davidson born 1891. Notices for Frank Davidson in Scranton
