Canvased Slat Corners, Part 2




The front left corner...


Using a stitch grabber, trying to pull the edges of the rip out to the glue coated tape.

Lots of tape ...

More tape. Removed the wood trim because it traps moisture promoting rot and rip

The trim held the canvas in place. Now the tape does that. The trim is not needed

Notice how the canvas adjusted to temporarily moving the axle blocks back a foot or so ...

... and then returning them to the axle






Note 6 years later (2008): everything that was repaired with spray adhesive and fiberglass tape held up very well; still solid and dry.
